Funny twists in an Indian's life

Life in India takes real funny twists, especially when it comes to one's personal (read love) life.

Indian's are a little conservative when it comes to the idea of love. Although this is the land rich with stories of legends that have sacrificed a lot for love and the great Taj Mahal which is the symbol of eternal love, the rural populace still considers a love marriage a taboo.

From a male perspective, an Indian has to go through rough patches at every stage of his personal life. First is the infatuation stage, which is fun but painful for everyone in a sublte way. Then comes the stage where proposing love to a girl leads one to sleepless nights. These two stages are the ones that are universal to all teenagers across the globe. From this stage onwards an Indian's life takes a different turn. Either an Indian girl thinks you are immoral in asking her out, or need tremendous courage and wit to evade the ever predatory eyes of society. If after a courtship (which is generally long) if they do decide to marry, the society, suddenly out of nowhere feels its their turn to judge the love. No one really cares about the time and thought the couple has put in to take the leap, instead what matters to them is whether the couple's stars permit this or not. Inevitably societal pressures cave in the spirits of the strongest. After all not all love life less.

So if there are any Indians reading this or plan to look for an India bride, here is a checklist you need to go through before falling in love:

1. Religion needs to be same
2. If above satisfied caste needs to be same
3. If all above satisfied take your horroscope and match them before you propose
4. If all above satisfied then look at the diameter of society that will affect your decision. Keep it small
5. If none above satisfied then look for a girl that has courage to defy society
6. If the above also not satisfied just get an arranged marriage done. Will save everyone the Pain.
